Some Experiences of My Career.

in life •  7 years ago

First of all, I would like to greet you people who read this post about some of my experiences that occurred in my military career, I have 26 years and participated in several armies, i am currently in the Italian Army, I am a french with Venezuelan nationality by mother, my father is a dedicated military who died a long time ago.

From what I was taught was the armies and the military by my father, who was a person that I had plenty of time to live, unfortunately his same profession made that it could see for several months, sometimes even years, its lack is what made me a little stronger with respect to see taken the military career as my favorite, I started in the army from the 18 years ago and since then I have not stopped to progress or stay active in my work.

When I was 22 years old, I had my first trip to the Middle East, fighting against the Islamists, now and since i started my military development was always as a sniper, using sniper rifles such as the M24, AWP, Barrett 50, when I first went to the Middle East my reactions were rather melancholic, I knew that I was in enemy territory and not only that, perhaps i didn't know if could see my mother again or my sisters, that is something that I followed and I followed since I am in the army and every time I go out to battle.

The first days of my act in service were not very active, more than everything was monitoring the place or help the soldiers returning from their rounds of search, they were almost 20 days as well, until one day my captain told me that I should go with a group to monitor an area, and the sniper of the group was not available for being sick, I began to sweat, as training in the army is one thing, and another is being there, on the field of battle.

At the end of the day, we began our rounds of exploration and monitoring of the area, I remember that it was 12 noon, we were very close to a mountain, with a lot of vegetation, it was my duty and i stayed in positions that my captain had said, positions where I could cover my comrades who explored while i was a sentinel, they were long periods of time exploring all the area, lasted 1 hour i think i didn't last long until we got a little bit of enemy fire, almost difficult to witness, it was a chaos, did not know where the enemy was shooting, or in which direction the noise of the bullets was all we had.

Between panic and euphoria, I could see the group that are shooting us, which was from a prairie in the north of the mountain, was tense, never in my life had shot a person and the first time I did was against someone who knew that suffering to other people, I shoot, about 3 times my AWP, fails to hit the target, but it was enough to give coverage to comrades and to be able to retire at the end of the day our mission was to investigate the place and that's what we did, we quickly from there and we returned to the allied camp, arriving was impacted by this first experience, without a doubt, one thing is to see the army fighting In videos, and another is to be there doing what one sees in these videos.v
