I love African proverbs simply because they seem to have a life of their own and when the words of wisdom gleaned from them is applied to an already hopeless situation it could literally save your life.
So for today's proverb:
A man who hangs around a beautiful lady without letting her know of his feelings will end up fetching water for guests at her wedding to another man.
The proverb is self explanatory. Some men are scared of rejection so they never attempt to take the risk of making their intentions known to their love interest, granted she might not see you as potential life partner but give it time who knows fate may smile your way and work some of it magic.
If it doesn't workout at least you know where you stand and you can silently move on instead of wondering what could have been or even worse fetching water for the guests at her wedding.
