When You Are Thinking The Worst and Everything Turns Out Great.

Got up real early this morning because we had a guy coming out to check the wall mount air conditioner on the small house. We thought that because all the wiring was ripped out of it before we got it that they had ripped out the wire to the A/C unit and messed it all up. We were going to take it out and put in a wall A/C unit at each end of the small house and use a fireplace heater for heat at each end.

I got out there the other day and was looking at it and it all looked ok and found the wires going to it had been cut and not ripped out. To my surprise, the thermostat wire was still there and was fine also. So I was thinking we could still use this unit and it would save some time, money and effort instead of doing it the way we planned.

The A/C and heat guy looked everything over and told me if I would run the wire to it from the breaker box it should work, I knew it would need a 60 amp breaker and 6/2 wire, but I verified it needed 6/2 wire and a 60 amp breaker with him, I had that wire and breaker already so it was an easy thing to do. I also had a thermostat that I had bought a while back and never used, now I had a use for it. He put the gauges on it and even not running had all the right pressures in the A/C unit and he checked everything he could and told me it should work just fine.

He quoted me a price of $500.00 dollars to use my wire, breaker, and thermostat for him to hook it up. I know I could do all of this myself and save the money. As that was too high of a bid for me, as I did not have $500.00 dollars to pay him to do it and I have done this before many times, I just could not check the pressures because I had no gauges and no real experience in that side of doing A/C and heat work. So I spent about an hour and a half running the wire getting the thermostat hooked up and got it running. I checked to make sure everything was working, it was blowing hot and cold air like it was supposed to and everything was fine. So there is a victory for us today and I needed one as it was getting stressful thinking of everything left to do. One thing off my mind and it is a sigh of relief. NICE Work brother. Happy for you guys

Thanks, brother!

That must have been a stressful day. You saved 500$ by doing the work yourself and on top of that you must feel much more satisfied because you have done it yourself. In the end everything is solved and you can go to bed with a calm mind/soul.

Thank you for contributing to the Steemit Community.Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next posts.
