The enigma of the female orgasm, why some women can, others can't and the purpose it serves.

The female orgasm is an inherently interesting thing, women crave it, men wish to give it, and everyone wonders why it exists at all. Not that you ladies don't deserve it but it doesn't actually serve much purpose.

We know why men achieve orgasm, biologically it has a function (to procreate) but the female orgasm so far hasn't been found to serve much purpose. Many theories have been put forward but so far none hold much ground.
Some have suggested that it encourages pair-bonding between partners, but a recent study suggested that it was once the key biological trigger required for ovulation to take place. Earlier in our evolutionary history, both the male and female orgasm were required to begin ovulation.

In fact only 1 in 5 women can orgasm from penetrative sex, whilst many more can reach climax through clitoral stimulation or even stimulation of other parts like the nipples, unfortunately there are some women who just can't seem to orgasm at all. Seems you ladies got the raw end of the deal.
An orgasm for a woman ( if she can have one) can be far better than a mans, i mean we get about 3-5 seconds and a salty mess, some female orgasms can last up to a minute or even more, not only that but they can have multiple. You know how we go soft and need a break for at least an hour or two? yea it sucks. As someone i was talking to about this said "its a real roll of the dice for women" Maybe you'll get lucky and have 4 earth shatteringly long orgasms in a row, maybe you'll never experience one in your life. It's like an orgasm lucky dip for you gals.

The female orgasm is basically when the uterus, vagina, and anus contract simultaneously at 0.8-second intervals, a small orgasm may consist of 3-5 while a longer lasting orgasm can be anywhere from 15-25.

Up to 4 out of 5 women have "faked an orgasm" and chances are you don't know if you were one of them. There's also an exceedingly large number of men who are either premature, or can't hold a sufficient erection alone. I dunno about the rest of you but at least 90% of the guys I talk to "can make any woman cum" sorry lads, science says you're lying, or at least most of you are. Either that or there's a lot of fake orgasms flying around your bedroom.

So what triggers the female orgasm? well in most cases its clitoral stimulation, where most women can achieve orgasm during masturbation far less seem to be able to do so during sex. One of the reasons is that if you're feeling self conscious and a little uncomfortable its gonna be a hell of a lot harder to hit that mark. When a woman feels comfortable she is far more likely to focus on the task, or experience, at hand (no pun intended).

My experience with women and orgasms.

Ha, this should be good. Right straight to the point, I don't consider myself some sort of "master of the vagina" by any stretch of the imagination, but i also wouldn't call myself a dud. Granted i can't make any woman orgasm, nor can i make every woman orgasm. But what i have found is most women tend to have very different methods to get there.
(humble brag incoming) My ex girlfriend told me i was great in bed, she orgasmed maybe 75% of the time we had sex? Problem is it took 6 months for me to give her that first one, after that it was all smooth sailing. Guess what im getting at is there is no proven method to make a woman orgasm. While some women you may get there on the first try others may take far longer for you to get to know their body. I guess all i'm trying to say here is they're all different. You know that great technique you have for oral? might not work on the next girl.

I may of gotten a little off track here. This post may also seem odd coming from a man and im honestly not sure why im doing it but i was inspired by a strange conversation i was a part of in the MSP PAL discord.

It seems the female orgasm has no real purpose other than pleasure and possibly an emotional bonding, though i must say it seems like a lot of fun.
