Interesting question

I read a post this afternoon regarding the many homeless, many refugees from countries that have suffered the effect of war. How do we solve the problems caused by this flood of people who no longer have safe homes to return to. How do we find in a world of such chaos and anger a place in our hearts to begin to heal the many wounds and scars these individuals have suffered? None of us were apart of the decisions made by governments, decisions that have created this massive problem. I have to believe that we can find a solution that will help them go home, Home to the lands that have worked, and raised their families, and had a life on. I understand the anger, I understand the fear... on both sides. But at some point humanity has to begin to see beyond color, race or religious choice and just be human beings. Such a complicated issue on many levels. So I ask you... where would you begin?

I think most people do see past differences. It's just so in your face attacks that are so numerous because of our instant gratification fix of this century. I don't see people beating the crap out of each other every day in my area or region with my own eyes. I don't hear or see racist talk everyday at work with a majority of whites in the city. Do you? I guarantee that what one types on the net the majority is just talk. It's so easy to press someone's buttons because they are more likely to respond on the web, net, app. The things in the world going on are not new. They've been going on since the beginning of time. I think we really are learning what humans are capable of. It's not hidden away as easily. The most grotesque, things not thought in nightmares have always been done. That's what's scary and horrific. Not that it's being done but has been done over and over repeatedly. Humans are beyond ugly and beyond beautiful. And never learn. We can only do small things sometimes but that small thing is more often than not going to make a larger impact than the many horrible things man can come up with. Because ugly at some point ends but beautiful is continuous and grows.
