A couple homemade custom knives for wood carving

I carved the handles just to personalize them a tad

A few years back I purchased the blades from LEE VALLEY in London Ont. Canada. I had some Walnut wood scraps laying around with a little sawing, rasping, sanding, carving and varnishing I ended up with, FRIC and FRAC.

These four are of a smaller size. Two have straight blades, two are curved blades. I haven't yet decided what to embellish these knives with as yet but when I do, I just might post them also.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice! I've been thinking of picking up a carving knife too - just need to free up some time. Beautiful. I'm interested also in the carving next to your tools. Did you do that? What's the story?

Thanks, I know about not having time. Lately my time has been occupied trying to figure out this Steemit thing. Being I am almost totally computer illiterate.
The little carving you saw, was actually carved by another person. I had just finished sketching it out on a piece of cow bone. He asked me if he could carve it as a gift for me. He is a great carver. When he gave it to me about two hours later, I told him I wouldn't accept it as he hadn't signed it. I just really wanted the credit to go where it was due.
Thanks for your. Interest and reply

That's Old School! Love it! ;-)
