My Life

Today my account turns 4 months old. I thought, I have nothing to loose. The writing was piling up and going nowhere so why not post it? I remember that after a few days, I was thrilled that a whole 9 people gave a shit about the crap I was writing enough to follow me! 20k followers later and I’m awe-struck at the interest my words have received, and the reactions they provoke. Expressing myself like this is never something I thought I’d do. I am so much lighter for it.

There have been days that I’ve been so sick of it that I’ve almost deleted it (seriously, just ask viviosullivan). People can be mean when hidden behind the safety of a screen. But I’m glad I kept it, because I’ve met the most amazing people with the most incredible stories. I was fortunate enough to find words_of_soul_ and adampoems from the very beginning. I’ve formed so many friendships since then I can’t even fathom!

I got to know the Poetic Justice fam who I love very much ❤️ ( . ) I got to meet k.tolnoe in Denmark, and will hopefully get to meet many more people in the future as I travel. I’m lucky enough to say that I have friends all over the world now. It’s all thanks to a little steemit account. It’s so strange to think about!

Meeting these people has been the absolute best outcome of my page. It’s so strange to let this element of my life leek into my personal life more and more when I’d initially tried to keep them separate for so long, but I don’t care anymore 🤷‍♀️ me is me. People don’t ask me if I’m going to write a book, they ask me when. The answer to this has always been that I’m not, at least not until roshachloe told me to write one a few days ago so now I guess I have no choice...
