Part cluster of tricky enduro races, part four-day party, if you only get yourself to one event on the 2017 Hard Enduro calendar, make it the Erzbergrodeo. The jewel in the crown of the weekend's proceedings is the Red Bull Hare Scramble, with 500 riders clawing their way out of the bottom of a quarry to try and conquer the Iron Mountain. But there's also the Iron Road Prologue, a hillclimb and the traditional ride into the town of Eisenerz to keep you busy.
I have ridden the race on the "Iron Giant". ... and yes, I will again!
