I came back to my hotel room and found the maid had folded my towels like this.

It brought a massive smile to my face. Well played housekeeping, Well played. Guess who got a great tip that day.

My mother used to fold paper table napkins into flowers or fans to make dinner time more festive.

yes, its a good reminder that attention to detail and a little bit of extra care get noticed. The glasses were mine but the maid placed them onto the towels for extra effect.

Many Thai's believe in the idea of "Sanuk" and that means even if you are doing the most menial work you should try and make it fun. I think that is a great way to approach life. :)
