Chinese New Year in London! 在英国过年啦！

February 15th to 16th in 2018 is Chinese New Year which is the most important festival in China!
Also,it is my first time to celebrate it in a foreign country!

My friends and I decided to visit China Town firstly for experiencing what Chinese people in England do at this very special day.

But we arrived a little early that there were not many people. Most of them were tourists or Chinese people who wanted to buy the fresh food for cooking that evening.

We went to a Chinese supermarket to buy some special things for our cooking! To be honest, I actually could buy them back to my university, but I just had to find the way to experience my favorite day!

Then one of my friends were going to have a hair cut in a Chinese barber's because there is a custom in China that people shouldn't get hair cut during the first month in a lunar year or else something unlucky would happen to their uncles.

On the train of coming back to my town, I suddenly felt a bit homesick. At that time, people in China were having their dinner and watching CCTV New Year's Gala.

My mom sent me the pictures of street scenes in my hometown.

Also, the picture of family dinner!

After two hours of cooking , my friends and I made a big dinner for our small feast.
Well, I think it was as much as my family's.

To attract the young audience, the producers of the gala invited many idols.

Even if we hadn't eaten the dumplings because it was so complicated to make, we still had a unforgettable Chinese New Year! Hope I could spend it with my family next year!
