An evening to celebrate

What a fantastic evening!!

Tonight I had the privilege of attending a graduation ceremony at one of Perth's top universities, Curtin University.

It was one of my proudest moments watching my wife walk on stage to collect her Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (a year of post-graduate study). After an uphill battle to be accepted into the course, working full-time, looking after the family, fracturing her wrist, and being off work for weeks with a chest infection, she still managed to come out the other side of 2017 and pass her final assessments with flying colours!!

Mrs MJ is a shining example of what hard work and dedication can achieve, and an inspiration to me and our two awesome boys. Tonight they got to see all that work rewarded in an extra special ceremony, showing such respect and admiration for all those who graduated.

Well done Mrs MJ!!! What an achievement!!

Congratulations on such a huge achievement, Mrs MJ.
Particularly considering you have a young family. Well done :)

It was a hard grind for sure, but I'm so glad she kept at it. A lot of obstacles to get over, but now it's all history, and she has an awesome qualification under her belt. Thanks for the wishes!

Congrats to your wife's achievement @bmj! It was a very proud moment, I presume!

It certainly was! A lot of hard work went into it, and combined with balancing full-time work, and a family to see to... just incredible to get through the other side and graduate.

Congratulate your wife, it is not easy studying and running a home, mission accomplished now to benefit rewards for her dedication.

That's for sure!! She did a fantastic job! We're all glad it's over though... it was a hectic year.

Yay congratulations Mrs MJ :D

My partner would be able to relate to her as he did the same thing many years ago when we had a baby and a toddler. Studying is already challenging and when you go and jump in when you have so many other major commitments, she should totally be proud of herself and not surprised at all that you're so proud of her!
