"Normal is very overrated," and it's a good quote to remember when making an assessment of how things are progressing in the office. It's easy to get caught up in the minutiae of day-to-day existence, and forget about the big picture. What you're looking at is everything in your life; from your personal relationships, to your career, to your social and economic status - everything, that is, except for how things look on the whole.
If you're not quite so self-conscious, you might think that 'normal' is all that matters - but that isn't true any longer. In fact, there are some big differences between the way the world sees us as compared to how we see ourselves, so it's worthwhile to be aware of how the world sees you.
The word 'normal' is used a lot to describe the way we see ourselves. It isn't just used in terms of what we should look like, but also in terms of what we should do and how we act. It can mean a lot of things, and that's why many people feel it's unfair to use it to define anything. But the truth is that it's not actually a very precise idea - it's just a standard definition.
In order to give you a clearer idea of what 'normal' is, let's take a look at what's considered 'normal' in our culture these days. For example, many of us define 'normal' by the amount of money we earn. And this is one example of why you shouldn't be surprised to find out that you fall outside of the norm, because in our society the standard is constantly changing.
So when you hear someone speaking of 'normal', they're usually referring to a person who lives in a middle-class home and has a stable job. That's the definition of 'normal' as far as most people are concerned, and even if they don't believe in it they usually still adhere to it.
However, that definition of 'normal' can be completely different from one person to another. We can also define it in terms of what type of relationship we want to have with our boss, how much responsibility we're willing to accept or ask for, or expect, and what sort of career we'd like to follow. So 'normal' doesn't necessarily have to be something you would think about at all times. in the workplace.
Many people find it hard to cope with their careers, and their work, and this leads to some problems down the road, and that's where 'normal' becomes very overrated. As long as you don't let that stop you from trying to improve yourself, you and move forward, you can get out of that rut and make your life a little bit better. But you need to remember that the 'normal' definition is a subjective thing - if you find it hard to change then you need to think about how you're approaching the world and your place in it. That's where the concept of 'overrated' comes into play.
You have to realize that there's no right or wrong answer for how you define 'normal'. All you have to do is examine what you're doing in the office and look at what's going on. See if what you're doing doesn't match up to the definition.
In other words, you may feel that you're being treated fairly well at your job and getting what you deserve, but if you don't do anything to change things you won't really experience a difference in your life. The good news is that you can make changes in your life, and it's up to you to do something about it. Just because you don't feel you fit in with the rules doesn't mean that you don't deserve to be treated equally. and given the same opportunities.
What makes other people so different? Are they lazy? Are they selfish?
There's no right or wrong answer to this question, so just because you can't find it in yourself doesn't mean that you aren't worth the effort to change. You deserve better, and if you're working towards improving your life and improving your quality of life, that's how you should go about it. And that's why you should be thankful that you don't live in a 'normal' world - one that you're not happy with and one that isn't giving you what you deserve.
