If you read my blog entry last night, then you read how I bought my dad a special tubing for his C-pap which allows the airflow to be heated. The default setting is about 80 degrees but he prefers his to be set on about 81 degrees. The C-pap is a real life-saver and for those of you that use them regularly, then you know what I'm talking about. I honestly don't know where my dad's health condition would be if it weren't for the C-pap....He probably would have had another stroke.
I can't believe it's almost noon. Seems like the mornings pass by so quickly and before you know it, it's already afternoon.

I try to drink carrot juice when I get the chance because I feel better when I do. My sister usually makes carrot juice so I was really glad when she made me some this morning. I used to hate carrot juice when my mom would try to get me to drink it. Now that I'm an adult, I can honestly say that I like the taste of it and the extra energy that it gives me.
As a co-caregiver, I am always trying to encourge my mom to take care of herself just as I am trying to take care of myself, as well. Sometimes it's easy to neglet yourself and ignore your own needs, but we must never do this if we can help it. Staying healthy has to be a priority because if you lose your health, then all of those other things you thought to be so important suddenly aren't as much. So we all got to stay as healthy as we can....Not only for ourselves but for those who are counting on us , as well!
I'd like to take this time to share with you some things that I've been pondering....
Do you ever find yourself living in the past? Maybe you're dwelling on the past because you made some mistakes and wish you could change them in some way. But, you might also be thinking a lot about the past because it was a time that was extra special to you and those memories bring you a certain kind of comfort. Either way, I think it's safe to say that most people spend a little time reminiscing about the past and the years gone by.
I admit that this is a struggle for me because I probably spend too much time reflecting upon the past when I should be looking forward. You see, there's something that I'm realizing.....The past is always safe because we have already lived it and so it's settled and we know the outcome.

But if we choose to look forward, then we can live a life that is filled with endless possibilities. Sure, it might not always feel safe and the outcome might not feel certain, but that's where life's excitement and adventure comes into play. As I've said before, we have to keep hope in our hearts , regardless of the current set of circumstances. Stay Positive and don't get up! Let's all try to look more through the windshild of life and less through the rear view mirror.
