Failure is a stepping stone to success

You can be the type of person that sees the cup half full or half empty, but at the end of the day that doesn't matter because its your cup and you have access to a faucet of endless possibilities.

YOU CAN CHOOSE HOW FULL YOU WANT YOUR CUP!

Failure is not a measurement of success, it does not mean that you have not succeeded, it merely means that you have not succeeded yet. People often tend to get demotivated when they encounter a setback and that is completely understandable, but instead consider the valuable lessons that they provide you with and use that to your advantage on your road to success.

In my opinion there is only two ways to look at the measurement of the success of matters:

You win

you have reached the goal that you have set for yourself and you are encompassed with a great sence of accomplishment

You learn

You have not yet reached the goal that you have set for yourself however you have attained wisdom and knowledge as well as experience.

From an article posted on the website www.forbes.com, I quote the following:

"The surprising truth about success is this: it often is the byproduct of repeated failures. Take NBA legend Michael Jordan, widely regarded as the best basketball player of his generation. Most fans only remember Jordan as the unstoppable force that powered the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles. But Jordan himself remembers his many setbacks. In a famous commercial for Nike, the five-time MVP recalls the field goals he missed—12,345 to be exact—the dozens of winning shots that came up short and the hundreds of games he lost. “I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed,” he says."

That is a prime example of how failure is conducive to success.

If you can harness the insight that failure provides you with and use that constructively to your advantage, then you have reached a point of making success inevitable!

Instead of letting failure lock the door to your success, let it be the key that unlocks endless options of how to attain success.

In my personal experience I have often messed things up to a great extent, and then wallowed in the despondency until I realized that my failure at that point was actually a map routing out alternative roads and ideas which in turn lead to greater success than I had initially planned for.

A great example of this would be myself working very hard and climbing the corporate ladder to no certain extent, then having to take a back seat as I watched everything I have worked so hard for fall apart. it took me a while but I managed to pull myself together. I started writing on Steemit, I now suddenly had time for my family and friends and to build a life that I WANTED and not the life that I thought I needed. Since then so many doors have opened for me. I have not only gained wisdom and knowledge, I gained happiness!

I can choose how full I want my cup to be, and right now I am allowing it to spill over!
