The anti-baby propaganda is pretty messed up. it violates the one mandate every species has: to go forth and multiply.
Essentially, at the most basic level, the propaganda conveys an implicit message: our society is not worth perpetuating any longer. Its a DNR order for mankind.
Throughout history there have been plenty of exclusively anti-natalist communities, societies that proscribed procreation, viewing it as evil.
The Encratites, Cathars, Bogomils...all of these have one thing in common: inevitable extinction. But these philosophical/ideological communities shared something else, something that modern antinatalism lacks: a focus on the unborn.
These, often early christian groups, were concerned about how bringing a life into the world was equivalent to forcing it to suffer.
Today's rather bleak antinatalism is grounded in selfish solipsism. The only concern is whether the parents would somehow be "happier" if they chose to not have children.
