haha, love the little dicky reference, I actually saw him in concert here in Chicago, he puts on a crazy show really enjoyed it. I had just learned about him prior to going so I was expecting kind of a Wierd Al yangovich kind of experience but Dicky man he's funny but he can actually flow as well, really got the crowd into it, really fun show. Actually got to go to the after party and have some drinks and smoke a bit with him. If he comes back to town I'll definitely check him out again.
I like the post, I tend to be kind of a homebody and I'm a person of more simpler tastes so don't really like having to show out and impress someone. If a girl is down to go to the park, walk around the city, get some thai food and watch a movie at home she's a keeper.

That is awesome you got to hit up Lil' Dicky's after party. Yeah man for me she has to be pretty simple and also for me she has to not be afraid to go hiking / camping....etc. And then in the end when you find out she is a keeper that is when you can spend some money on her and got on some cool trips!
But when some of these girls are trying to find out what kind of car I drive....etc. WARNING! Like that is any kind of indicator these days. Yeah I definitely like a girl who likes to go camping and hiking and can keep up. My gf is pretty good about that stuff, she has an aversion to porta potties so I have to hear a bit of complaining when we go rustic camping but she's pretty good with that stuff lol.

I actually had a roommate at one point that I played baseball with and he was saying him and his gf were wanting to move out of the place they were in and live on my side of town. Ended up they moved in and he was a full blown man baby.
It turned out he hadn't had any income in the last 5 years. Used to be a radio show host. I listened to his stuff and he was really good at it. But he was just a man baby and would play video games and watch NetFlix while his girlfriend worked all day and was also thinking about having a second job.
The elite man baby would some how trick her into thinking he was working on earning money .....etc but he never earned anything. Then when she would come home from work he wouldn't even say hi. He would look at her in disgust.

Yes, this was back from 96' to 2006...right before I moved in with my soon to be wife Summer of 2006. Not sure if they still have it but it was something else. $5 Cover and then penny beer from 7 to 10pm. Two step dancing and such. I am not saying Iam proud of it but just to be honest I woke up on numerous occasions in strange beds during that period of time.

That's a solid run! The thing is that I'm sure both of us realize is that if both men and women don't hang out with enough people when they are young they will oftentimes say "what if". I have seen it so many times first hand it isn't even funny with these people getting together early on. They almost always screw their marriages up one way or another. I think that people have to learn a lot about other people and be able to reflect on what is a good relationship and a bad relationship and what kind of people they want to be around. I even had a friend that didn't know what was going on and he thought he was taking a girl to the movies and then when he got there she had her "friend" there who was a guy and then they were both going to come to the movie. I personally never wanted to go on an expensive date, because in my experience, if a guy suggested a fancy place, he expected sex. Like somehow a $20 dinner entitled him to sex. Dude. I'm worth more than a pasta dish. So, I always wanted to go on a cheap date as well, but for different reasons. Plus, stuffy dates are way not fun. I mean, there isn't a terrible amount to do in Phoenix, and it's hot as balls most of the year, but I have done lots of fun things for practically nothing. My fave is Scrabble in Starbucks. A 3 buck date and it's super fun!

Oof, I would never go on a date with another girl, if I was actually serious about the guy I was about to meet. Although I have never been one to beat around the bush either. I think that is probably one of the most frustrating parts of modern day dating, well modern day in general I guess: flaky ass people. I don't envy my sister who is still in the dating world after divorce, and even when things are less than ideal in my own marriage, I think about what it's really like out there in dating land and I am immediately motivated to work even harder on my relationship. Between ghosting and whaling and last minute "things coming up" or "fucking and dumping" I am glad to not be in the thick of it. (And I'm not implying that it's all like this, but more than I could handle, that's for sure!)
