I want to share with you a little trick I use to prevent me to postpone everything.

To postpone everything is a very bad habbit. It gives you alot of stress and makes you unhappy in long term.
I agree with myself that every time i think of something that need to be done, i Obligate myself to, if possible, do it immidiatly
before doing 'the much more fun' -thing i am attracted to.
This works. But it only works for some time, sooner or later you don't see the point anymore why you should do that first because 'it would'nt matter if you did it know or if you are going to do it tommorow..;or the day after...or next week...
Thats why you have to find tricks to motivate yourself. Rewarding yourself is very effective.
Start with doing a little job, even something that takes no effort at all or takes only 10 seconds. Then reward yourself.
Nip from your coke, or eat an apple if you like (for me it would be smoking a sigarette, but I guess that is not a good advice lol!).
Your brain will link the reward to the job you did. It's an easy way to trick your brain that you need to do a job before getting a reward.
Another thing when you are getting demotivated is to count downwards or upwards, it does'nt really make a difference in my case, but choose what works best for you.
If you count from 10 to 0 and on zero you lift yourself from the sofa and get in action. This really works. Your body is preparing itself to activate when you are counting! You will have enough energy to get over the treshold.

Clearly, procrastination is a really bad habit and one should definitely get rid of procrastination. While, I say all that, I'm still a victim of it. What I want to say is that people tend to be victimised and we actually cannot do anything but decide. We have to decide to be stern and so the work on time. These small small rewards also work excellent, I read it in a book.

hack your brain reward system, get addicted to dopamines but better maintain that level of neurotransmitters to avoid a bad crash
