With the advent of a new year, I want to create a fresh start with Steemit and my Steem fans and followers. I also want to apologize to my (non-bot) followers who have commented on my various posts, and I have largely neglected to reply back. Since you took the time to craft a comment, I should at least acknowledge your effort.
Over the last several months, I’ve witnessed my business blow up tremendously. This of course is wonderful news. The only drawback to this offline success is that I have nearly zero time to do the things that I want to do; namely, build my Bullish Money media brand, and of course, promote my Steemit and YouTube accounts.
The other reason I’ve been quiet until just recently is the unfortunate developments that arose from the Steemit hardfork. When I first started out on Steemit, there was a genuine sense that effort matched financial compensation. It was not at all difficult to attract double-digit revenue for my posts, and I’m sure many of you will agree that considerable effort was expended to create those posts.
A few months after the hardfork, I noticed that I only averaged 20 cents a post. While I grudged through it, I absolutely could not reconcile the fact that I would spend hours on my posts, only to receive a few pennies. I’m sorry folks, but that’s third-world poverty income, and I live in California. Thus began my love-hate affair with the Steemit network.
Now that virtually all altcoin assets are moving substantially higher, the effort that I put into Steemit is beginning to approach the dynamic that I once enjoyed: put in the effort, and you get the reward. This is equitable, and therefore, I have a stronger feeling today about Steem than I did three months back.
Anyways, this is my honest, no BS story about my adventures during the second-half of 2017. For 2018, I aim to engage my followers, and just as importantly, craft interesting, unique, and profitable content for all of you to benefit!
Happy New Year!
happy new year bullishmoney, it's been great after seeing the lows of 90 cents to be where we are now , the mood changed dramatically on Steem

Thank you! I will most surely have great content for you and everyone on Steemit to enjoy. I have a mainstream article featuring Steem that should be published soon, which of course I will share once it's confirmed :)

I signed up to Steemit in mid 2017 and must confess, I didn't get it.
You were obviously much further along in your steemit journey than I was in 2017 but it looks like we're both committed for 2018!

Yeah, mid-2017 was a rough time for newcomers...I know this because it became an excruciatingly rough time for revenue-generating Steemians.
But you are right...2018 is shaping up to be an unprecedented year in cryptocurrencies, so I think you're going to see some serious things on this network!

Those who blog for the love of blogging, got Steemit right away.
After years of time and energy wasted blogging for free, Steemit is the oxygen those who love writing needed to bring a resurgence to this mode of writing. And now, DTube is competing with YouTube.
Steemit is a no-brainer for those who value their words. Yes, the pennies may seem small; but, the income is really an investment if powered up. As the value of STEEM grows, so do those coins.
For anyone on the fence reading this, I assure you, becoming an active member of the Steemit community is worth your energy. FB or Steemit?...again, a zero-brainer.
Best regards,
Peace.

I agree -- ultimately, if you're a big social-media fan, and you already spend hours on Facebook or Twitter, then Steemit is well worth your time. It takes considerable effort (and risk) but you have a far greater chance of earning decent revenues than you would on any mainstream network.

Anyone who spends time on the internet without it helping their bottom line is pretty much foolish.
Peace.
