Over the past few weeks chicken franchise KFC have had to close huge amounts of stores across the UK due to lack of supplies, many KFC stores don't have enough chicken to open up and sell to the public, this has caused concern among the general public as many customers were worried about the excess chicken remaining in the stores which would be wasted.
When asked on Twitter by a user about the waste KFC stated that they wanted to minimize the amount of food they were going to throw away and wanted to donate it to as many charities as possible, they stated :
Several stores are now starting to open again and KFC are expecting to get more deliveries in the coming weeks with the hopes of all stores opening shortly.
