With the weather being so nice today I decided to take you on a tour on one of the forest trails that are a popular features of my village for tourists as well as the locals.
These trails were made by a local guy called Jørgen "Yergen" - and he spent 35 years of his life making them just so folk could go out into the nature.
One of the things that surprises people to know about Norway is that the mountains are all privately owned
Yes honestly that is true.
However, the land owners are perfectly happy with you walking on their mountains as long as it is outside of the main fenced off boundary where they keep their sheep. It is called "Utmark" - which means "outside the mark of the boundary". A boundary can be a wall or a fence.
Some land owners sensitive about going on their land so it can take some time to persuade them to walk on there. It it said that Jørgen took 15 years to persuade one land owner to elt him mmake a trial on this land. And it is this trail that I want to take you one today.
So let´s get going.
As per usual I will post this twice. One on dtube and this one for those who have not joined on Dtube yet.
