The criteria to take into account for my need for a professional
1- The operating system
The operating system (or OS), more commonly known as the OS (Operating System) is the software that will control your smartphone (just like your tablet or computer).

From the start, the software tells him how to behave, what to display ...
Once started, this software gives you a hand so that you can use your device. Basically, the OS determines the applications that you will be able to install on your smartphone.
The leader remains undeniably Android (Google) which now holds more than 60% of market share. Apple meanwhile, also reserves a slice of the cake with 20% of the market.
What are the differences between each of these OS?

Android, sees his system deployed on a string of devices from many brands. The operating system of Google will blow this year its seven candles.
It is the open OS par excellence and its application store (Google Play Store) is the most provided on the market.
The interface is customizable to envy, using widgets or shortcuts.
And if you are a hacker, you can go further by modifying the system to optimize speed or implement functions
On the Apple side, the iOS is totally exclusive since it is reserved for the devices it sells. Namely, the iPhone.
Slightly less than the Google Play Store, the iOS App Store still has over a million applications.
Innovative concepts therefore often go to iOS in order to be tested and validated by developers.
iOS has the most accessible interface, with a system of icons and folders as simple to take in hand as effective.
Overall, iOS is more closed than Android because it is impossible to install a program that does not come from the App Store, unless "Jailbreak" the Smartphone, a manipulation that is not within reach of all world and which in passing makes lose the guarantee.
Anyway, the operating system is a matter of taste. It's up to you to experiment and see where you will be most comfortable.

2 - The screen
Today's fashion is with big screens and in a professional frame, these last bring more comfort to read its mails, to seize some data, to be in videoconference ...
But be careful not to fall into the oversized model, which is sometimes impractical to handle when you want to call. Nevertheless it would be a shame to put the small screens to oblivion! Easier to carry and less cumbersome, you can drag it everywhere.

Two things to consider: the brightness and resolution of the screen. Nothing is more unpleasant than working on a dark and pixelated screen especially if you are brought to work outdoors.

3 - The camera
Part of our smartphones, the camera is not only to take pictures of your vacation to make the buzz on Instagram or film the first steps of your youngest!
Extremely convenient when you want to take good quality shots, scan a document, make notes in photo or for video calls worthy of the name. For example, you maintain industrial systems.

Following each intervention, you must take a picture and send it to a server for the traceability of your interventions. How do you do without a smartphone today?
You will have to take photos with a conventional digital camera and then go back to the office to connect to your computer and transfer photos taken to finally exploit or transfer to your client ...
It's a waste of time and time is money as they say! The camera is therefore a major criterion to take into account. You will ideally borrow on a definition of 8 million pixels at least for a professional rendering.

4 - Autonomy
Ah Smartphones and autonomy ... It's not an easy task to be sure to always have the battery.
Knowing that a day of work is about 8 hours and that we spend between 3 and 5 hours a day on our phones, we will have to make sure that the animal stays at least between 6 and 8 hours in internet browsing, sending and receiving mails and other applications that consume a lot of battery.
If you tend to see a lot of videos, look first at this criterion and bet on 10h instead.
Or invest in a portable battery that will be of great help in case of a power failure!

5 - Storage space
"Insufficient space to save this element" ... who was not entitled to this little alert when saving THE important file? We have all lived at one time or another and we must admit that it is damn annoying!
To avoid this situation, you will have to take into account the available storage space before the purchase of your smartphone. Mobile applications are increasingly greedy storage, do not neglect this criterion even if a few euros separate two models.

To give you an idea, 16GB is the bare minimum, 32GB the wisest choice and 64GB the serenity!

6 - Dual Sim
Dual Sim, what is it? Simply a space in your Smartphone to insert two different SIM cards.
In order to dissociate professional and personal life while keeping the same device, more and more dual SIM phones are emerging in the mobile phone market.
So you have two lines (a pro, a personal), all on one phone. No need to lug around two phones and juggle calls and messages.

Now that you know what are the criteria to consider, let's take a look at the best Smartphone for professional use.
