I have had the pleasure of opening two new geodes recently. They may not be anything rare, but they are still spectacular. I've always had a soft spot for crystals. It's just so interesting how something inorganic can grow in such uniform shapes.
I would have liked to have used something like a saw, but I don't have one. I just used a hammer on the two geodes. It worked out in the end.
Haha you got pretty much the same results with the hammer as the saw right ;)

Just smaller pieces and jagged edges. Guess it looks more natural this way :)
