I got into PAX WEST 2016, My 110 Minute Adventure.
I had not been to a PAX since 2009. It's very hard to get passes to this event. When they go on sale, I hear they get bought up in 18 minutes. Not sure if that's true, yet I can believe it. PAX, which stands for Penny Arcade Expo, is a huge event, where Big Video Game companies and Indie Video Game Developers come to show off their latest and greatest. Since not being able to attend for a long time. I decided to come up on Saturday. I hung around outside and photographed cosplayers which you can check out at these links.

Well, something in my brain told me to go back on Monday, since PAX is a 4 day event now. So I headed up there. I hung around outside the Washington State Convention Center for a couple hours. Then I heard a guy say , FREE PASS! FREE PASS!. So I jumped on it, and tapped him on the shoulder. I got it!
I looked at my android device, it said 4:10pm, I had 110 minutes to take in as much as possible. Now PAX is a huge expo, it's held in multiple rooms. That are at least a football field each in size. So armed with both my Nikons, I embarked my way through. The first place I wanted to head to is the section for ARK: Survival Evolved. It's an awesome game, I have played it some. As above you can see a life size T-Rex. and more images below.
There also was a cool Dragon that looked very awesome.
Then I went over and found Weta Workshop, which did the effects for the World Of Warcraft Movie. They had some life size models. One of an Orc.
Now here is some other images I captured.
Overall, it was an awesome surprise to even get to go inside. The 110 minutes went so fast. I just wish I had more time to see and meet people there. It's just a huge event. Next year I will make it for certain. I hope you like this little glimpsed into PAX WEST 2016. Thank you for check out my adventure.

Awesome, I wish I live out in Seattle. Always wanted to go to Pax. I'm a big Ark fan as well. that T-rex is Bad Ass! Thanks for sharing this event.

Wow that is pretty cool stuff there Chad, wish they held events like that close to where I live but all we get are knock off comic con events.. Still pretty amazing to look at your photos of all these interesting things. Were you able to go inside the resident evil building or was it just for looks?

I think they had gaming machines set up inside there. There was a huge line to get in just 20 minutes before I took that shot!
