Where does Latte Art come from?
The barista David Schomer owner of the Seattle's Espresso Vivace coffee was the one who brought to America the first and main techniques of latte art. As he began to be interested was to make a foam with velvety texture in one of his espresso in 1988.

He worked his free technique pouring the milk in the espresso around the coffee so that they furan forming a swirl or waves (depending on the perspective), perfecting the heart model in 1989. He also learned to create concentric rings around the heart by shaking the milk he learned from a barista in Milano.

But he was mainly the one who popularized the Rosetta (which is a multi-leaf shape with a heart-shaped tip, resulting in a flower), the first time it was seen in a photo of an Italian coffee in 1992. He was in love with the beauty that was in the technique, so he spent an approximate time of 6 months perfecting it.

Something that a barista must know is to master the patterns of the heart and rosetta and then continue with the elaboration of more complicated figures such as: swans, rabbits, birds, and even figures of their authorship or that imply the own creativity of the barista.

In recent years, and especially when the world championship of barismo began, latte art was popularized inside and outside the cafeterias, customers began to request a coffee with something else, which not only will please your palate but also attractive in sight
