For immediate results

This very well might be the biggest hurdle to overcome. The idea that we must do something only if the results are immediate can be so toxic, that is hard for me to describe it without sounding offensive.

I decided to use a somewhat comical image for this post, because truth be told this is a bit funny. If we are trying to learn, if we are trying to grow, one of the things we need to learn is to be patient, and if we start from that point, we can't hold on to irrational ideas.

I do understand how we got to this point, as a matter of fact it makes sense that we did. We currently live in a system of immediate gratification. You want to know something, you google it. You want to go see a movie, you stream it. So when we are met with problems that require work to find the solutions, and not only that time, for the solutions to take root. We think subconsciously that something is not right.

I guess my reflection today is exactly this lie, this idea that we would do best if we eliminated from our minds. Not everything needs to be immediate, most things that are valuable are not, most things that are powerful are not, most things that you will accomplish that will be memorable will not be immediate results.

Believe it or not, that.... is the good news.

You said it right again :-)

In this 1st World "culture" (I hesitate to call it that), all narratives are pointed toward instant gratification. This has become so bad, that we now equate "more" and "faster" with "better" and "higher", when your sweet little post shows that the exact opposite is true.

Keep truth flowing, @chbartist, and maybe we'll learn sometime :-)

Hello friend @chbartist, very true and precise your words to evaluate what we do in life, to be successful in some activity we must practice planned and constantly to get results and it can take years of work to achieve it and the hardest only a few reach the end.

We have the example of the professional baseball players that we see them winning millions and many think that easy to earn dollars when to get there surely started from childhood passing through all categories in a race where many dropped out.

So I will continue to publish and read for some day to get the expected reward. Greetings and happiness always.

Love this post, I really find it inspiring. I'm new at Steemit, and all I want to say is keep up the good work. I also believe that being grateful for what you already have can make a huge difference in life. Patience, along with gratefulness is the path to meaningful life. :)

@chbartist you're such an amazing person. This is immensely true in this so called JETS age. People want things in a rush and often forget to old true adage that:

"Nothing good comes easy"

Today, we are left with speed dating, speed marriage as well as speed breakups. Patience is the key solution to these problems which you've highlighted. I also like the instance of the instant access of things we want using tech which has elevated this urge. Nice post @chbartist and kudos from me.

good post friend, I like it, keep it up, regards

En la vida hay que tener paciencia, para ver el fruto de lo que cultivamos, el apuro trae cansancio, @chbartist.

Great words. Nothing should be immediate, but some things can. That's my approach
