If Money is your God, whose your Devil?

Maximize profits. Trade that arbitrage. Get that money.

It doesn't matter how you say it a majority of us humans do what we do in life for one thing:

Money.

And us humans have no problem admitting that.

Almost like a badge of honor.

I got that job; I'm going to get that real money now.

O shit just got 5 grand for a show. Time to get that money.

O just secured that 100 million dollar investment. Time to get that money now.

Money, money, money.

And for most of our lives growing up that's what the generations said to do.

Go to college, get a degree, get a job.

Or go get a job. Work for someone else now.

Get money to pay for life.

You need money to live.

And this has gone on for so long.

From the Industrial Revolution to the baby boomers, the generations have thought and programmed it into everyone they come in contact with that getting money is the end goal.

It has to be.

How else are you going to support a family and buy things for life?

For whatever reason some of us humans believe this instead of:

Do what you love and money will follow.

We get money and hope that love will follow.

love greater than money.jpg

But that's not how life works.

Life isn't about getting money.

Sure money is an important tool to use and can be used to "keep score" but it clearly is not what defines a successful and happy life.

There are thousands, if not millions of case studies as evidence to prove this.

But for whatever reason when we ask why did we do something the common response is:

To get money.

But if money is your end goal, your love, your God you could say, then whose your Devil?

If you are willing to sacrifice some if not everything about life for money, then who is your Devil, the counter/opposite to money?

Because usually this moral balance of good versus evil is what helps keep some humans on the right path.

We know what is right because of a moral compass.

And we know what is wrong because of a moral compass.

Gut instincts are hard to hide.

So if good counters the evil in some humans whose end goal in life is not money or the accumulation of wealth, then what counters the money and greed?

If money is your God, whose your Devil?

Thank you as always fro your time and attention.

Hi bro did you came up with this post after watching Ozark?
I am asking because we talked about Ozark yesterday and it would fit ;)

If you have less money you have less worries and I say that from experience!
But for sure we need a bit of it to buy us the goods we need.

The Banks are the devil and money is there tool to keep there power and this is why I am so much in love with Cryptos it takes a bit of the devils power and gives it to us.

Since I am an Atheist, money is the closest thing to a God for me and my Devil is my self-doubt

@lenin-mccarthy Being an unbeliever doesn't make you any less a child of God. In the Bible, there were those who hated everything God; but were transformed, and used by Him in a mighty way. Paul comes to mind.

There are many 'believers' who value money as a god; and, it shows when they're asked to give it away. Self-doubt is a demon that has no bounds on one's faith; however, it is good that you know its source.
Thanks for sharing your perception.
May your inner-spirit shine brightly only on what is Truth.
Peace.

Good to know.

Thank you for letting me know.

Your play on words in the title gives one pause; but, soon refocus comes and the reality is Money can be from either GOoD; or as taught in 1Timothy 6:10, the root of everything the dEVIL.
Earning money keeps one from being slovenly. It is how, and to what measure they base their earnings, which creates the illusion that money is ‘bad’.
Funny thing; those with the most money seem to be blessed with the finest of things, friends who answer their calls, and lots of fun. Of course, without the blessings of God on these tangibles, all is for naught; thus, the entrance of drugs, and other darknesses associated with evil.
So, money is not bad; it is only the root of evil when attained from such a vantage point.
Peace.

Amennnn it is just one of the tools to build and inspire.

Thank you for your time and attention.
