Pure evil - taxis in Prague

My dear Steem friends,
Being taxi driver is a fine job. One might even argue that a Taxi driver is a superhero to those in need. However, in Prague, it's quite the opposite ! 🚖

About 8 years ago, my father and I flew into Prague after a 14 hour flight from the US. Both exhausted 😩 we just wanted to get home, which was about 10 by car from the airport.

After collecting our bags 💼 we set out for a taxi hunt. Luckily, we could spot a vast array of yellow vehicles with their trusted drivers looking for the next "sucker"! After choosing a suitable taxi, we told him our adress, and we were off!
"Finally", my father mumbled and we fell asleep.
Now, for all you, my adress was 10 minutes away, which means it was supposed to cost about 20$ (400 Czech Krowns). When we woke up, 30 minutes later, we were in downtown Prague! The asshole took us for a joy ride! 🤦🏻‍♂️ we ordered him to stop the vehicle, once we exited the car, the man asked for 320$ (almost 9000 krowns!)
Of course we called the police and the taxi driver hurried away, as if he committed murder and trying to flee the scene.

So we just took the public transport home. Lesson for all of you who are thinking of using a cab, call an Uber instead 👌🏻
