Hey guys we already went over the basics of lucid dreaming if you haven't read my earlier posts I would highly recommend doing so, because only then you can have the maximum benefits from the information I am sharing with you.
There you have the link to the introduction https://steemit.com/life/@condorwaran/introduction-to-lucid-dreaming-control-your-dreams-and-get-better-while-you-sleep from there you can easily navigate to my other posts.
Sooo today I want to talk about a very special technique. It is called WILD which stands for wake induced lucid dreaming and I actually tried it out last night myself, but I didn't succeed haha. But what is WILD, WILD is a technique where you try to stay awake in your mind and then transition into the state of dreaming and you are conscious of the fact that you are dreaming. Yes I know it sounds confusing but it is actually easier than it sounds. This method gives you almost a 100% chance of inducing a lucid dream which is great but it also comes with some cons...So let's just jump right into it.
First of all, you have to relax. RELAX RELAX and then relax even more because otherwise it will get pretty uncomfortable or you will lose all your progress. I recommend some form of meditation combined with a body scan and some meditative yoga. Of course, this step isn't obligatory but I highly recommend you to do at least some relaxation exercises.
Secondly, you lie down in your bed in a comfortable position and then the hard part starts. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MOVE!!! No you are not allowed to swallow and you are not allowed to scratch your itching b4lls4ck. You are not even allowed to move your eyes, while they are closed. You may ask yourself?
That is because we want to trick our body into thinking that we are already sleeping but we are actually awake and are therefore able to actively transition from the real state to the dream state.
Thirdly, If you didn't mess up the second part, it is very likely that sleep paralysis is going to kick in. It may feel strange at first but you actually experienced it for your whole life but you haven't ever recognized it because your brain passed out before. When sleep paralysis kicks in it feels like a heavy blanket is laid on your body and the feeling comes from your feet and works slowly up your body. You have to resist the urge to move otherwise your progress is lost. When you made it through that you almost made it. Remember to keep your breathing consistent this is also crucial!!!
OPTIONAL Fourthly, visualize an environment in which you want to dream but don't try it to do it in front of your closed eyes. Yeah that sounds weird but if you really want to disconnect your mind from your body you shouldn't use your eyes to or the black space in front of your closed eyes to visualize something. This step is optional if you are having a hard time with staying calm and breathing consitently you can skip this step.
Fifthly, get ready to experience some crazy shit and with crazy I really mean crazy. I give you some examples so you know what I mean. It may feels like you get lifted up from your bed or it may feel like you sink into your bed. You might also experience vibrations, very loud noises, even voices or all together. In addition to that you will most likely experinece some hallucinations. This may seem very frighthening and I am not going to lie about it. IT IS. BUT you have to as always stay calm.
So and then you finally made it, you should now be awake in your dream. Do some reality checks and start doing some funny sh1t you really deserved it. It was a hard journey but you have proven that you have enough discipline and willpower to do it. I AM PROUD OF YOU
Report back with your experiences. I am excited to hear them!!!
