It is a small root also called rhizome (or finger turcuma) that is consumed mostly in powder form for reasons of practicality. Turmeric is a very popular spice all over the world that blends with everything and that would even have the benefit of lessening the spice of the pepper. With its beautiful orange-yellow color and its delicate peppery flavor (but not pungent), turmeric is also known as "saffron of India". It allows to offer a beautiful color to your dishes in addition to its innumerable virtues on health. Thanks to the essential oils (turmerone, curlone, zingiberone) that turmeric contains as well as curcumin dye, it has many properties such as stimulator of digestive and respiratory functions but also to be a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
