This year nothing has planned out well as there has been no plan for Christmas it seems. I had no idea I would still be so busy and have just got back home now and it is after 10 pm again.
Tomorrow I need to complete the one job so I can move onto another one planned for the 27th and 28th. I need to try and finish by 7pm to make Christmas eve dinner.
I haen't stopped for the last two weeks and this is not normal. Staff have let us down this year and they just haven't pitched up.Work has been left to 13 of us where normally we would have double that. We are too thinly spread out over various warehouses and throw in a crappy forklift with very sensitive pedals and you have to just make do.It is taking us triple the time to off load and that is time I can't catch up.
The lucky 13 I suppose but I will have to let them go early tomorrow leaving me on my lonesome. It has been so bad I have done no shopping and will have to do present shopping after Chritmas. Every night I have finished it has just been too late and the shops are closed.
This will be the first time this has happened to me and wont allow it to happen again. This is the last project I get so deeply involved in. It is helping the family out but killing me at the same time. I am moving on to patures greener after this doing my own thing.
Once I start something I see it through , but to be honest had no idea it was this big. Staff problems mixed with budgetary restrictions we are all doing multiple jobs.
I can't wait for the 4th January as that is the date I have pencilled in for completion and then I have finished what I started.

I hope things calm down and you are able to enjoy Christmas with your family. I saw the post about the forklift too, that is really unfortunate, and I could see how it would be beyond stressful right now.

The ones missing in action will be fired in January with a smile. I don't know what goes through their heads and has cocked everyone's Christmas. It's been physical and been a good workout on the plus side. Can't wait to get our forklift over there tomorrow. Never have I worked and ran three warehouses at the same time.
