Donating your precious hair seems very difficult but believe me, it's one of the greatest virtues in the world. People with full head of hair don't know the value of their hair until they start to lose them. There are a huge number of people who suffers from hair loss at some point in their life. Hair loss can be triggered by a number of reasons. It can be caused by a disease, accident or some kind of disorder. For cancer patients, hair loss is a major problem. Whenever they go through a chemotherapy treatment, they suffer from hair loss. Although, after stopping the treatment, some growth of hairs can be seen but still hair won't grow for a substantially longer period of time. 

Hair loss can cause low self-esteem and lack of confidence. People feels old and loss of youth when they get a strike from hair loss. Because where we live, full head of hair are a symbol of youth and attractiveness. But some people are not blessed to keep their hair for their whole life. That's why hair donation is needed.

People who are blessed with long and healthy hair can donate their hair to those who're less blessed in term of hairs. There are many organisations running where people can donate their hair and these donations provide those hair to a wig manufacturer who in turn provides completed wigs to those who needed it the most.

There are some pre-requisite to hair donations. You must know these things before going for hair donation;

• Hair only grows one inch per month, so in order to make a wig a person has to donate his/her hair each year for at least 4 years to complete one wig consists of 120000 hair.
• Know the history of hair loss in your family. Because the major form of hair loss is genetic, known as Androgenetic Alopecia. If in your family, your immediate parents have a history of baldness then you should think for a minute before donating your hair.
• Keep your hair clean and healthy before you're considering to donate them.
• If you have a phobia of losing your hair, then you shouldn't donate your hair because it may lead to serious problems to your mental well-being in future.

So, I would recommend everyone to donate his/her hair so that people who lost their confidence because of hair loss can get it back and live a peaceful life.
