The Taal volcano had exacerbated the atmospheric conditions suitable in forming SMOG which is now called "VOG" because of its volcanic origin.

"VOG" as some authorities call it because of the smoke and gasses coming from the Taal volcano, this Smog is unusual if it would come from air pollution which comes from the vehicles and other factories then we can experience smog frequently.

Yesterday when are all set for going home after my regular dialysis, my mother noticed that the air is foggy and we couldn't make sense of it. I was expecting to see some establishment burning or some firetruck going to and from a place which is burning but nothing. We got home and after some searching in Facebook by my parents, we learned that it is caused by the volcano which is blowing tons of harmful smoke into the atmosphere. But some government agency is telling the people that the major cause of the SMOG was an inversion of the hot and cold atmosphere because of the temperature.

It just means that the upper atmosphere which should be in the upper atmosphere had came down below together with the smoke pollution. It could be that the cold air above had switched hot air from the ground or some equilibrium differences that I have no idea about regarding this issue. However, my town government is warning our people to make use of mask to help them get a level of protection because of the extent of the issue because the SMOG is covering wide expanse of the central and southern parts of my country's main island. The municipality said that the origin of the SMOG was actually from the Taal volcano and the smoke is really bad especially to people with ongoing respiratory problems like asthma, upper and lower respiratory infections, like a common phlegm cough and pneumonia both of which needs treatment form just taking either mucolytic medicines or antibiotics or both.

People here in our town is advised to do the necessary steps just to avoid getting respiratory conditions because the supposed smoke and gasses from the Taal volcano is also toxic where other areas are just completely blanketed by the smoke and gas near the volcano. Too bad for the people living near the volcano because of their prolonged exposure to the sulfur dioxide which is really dangerous to all people not only to the vulnerable sector of society like the elderly and young children. However the PHIVOLCS said that the VOG in central Luzon are where my town is located is not caused by the gasses from the volcano but from a regular atmospheric condition where the atmosphere is inverted which is why the smoke that should be in the upper atmosphere goes down as aforementioned. But whatever the case is, it is not good to expose one's self to such gasses so people are just advised to stay indoors or wear a mask if they would venture out for their purposes.

Our municipal government are advising the townsfolk to protect themselves from the effects of this kind of pollution to avoid respiratory ailments from developing by wearing protective masks.
