They call it "All Saints Day" and then "All Souls Day" after, it is a spectacle of an event in my country because this is a predominantly Catholic country which has a weird tradition of going to the "Pantheon" or cemetery to visit their departed lovedones.
Quite a weird belief system thta is contrary to the bible because it really is pointless to visit the grave of a departed loved one as the bible says;
Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 Revised Standard Version (RSV) "and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."
In a way it is good for the family and relatives because they get to see each other and it becomes a happy event instead of a solemn day because it really is sad to realize that the departed lovedone would not come back anymore.
So in the cemeteries you will see people just hanging around and just stay there until night time. Some people really prepares and holds a picnic as they also bring foods and drinks and this is true especially for wealthy families that owns a mausoleum for their dead relative.
There is also a commerce there where outside, in the vicinity, or within the cemetery some vendors sell foods and toys and some also buys used candles from the kids who collect them from the tombs so you must guard your candles lest they would get stolen.
Really nice .. This is verry natural .thanks for you.
