I am very glad that I do not need those EPO injections to raise my hemoglobin levels

It is always a good thing to monitor patient's blood work but due to financial constraints a bad healthcare, many patients are left with unmanaged disease leading to a long-term complication.

More than a week ago here in my neck of the woods we went to the nearest laboratory service which we often go for some of my lab test needs because I am not trusting the results given by my hospital because there is a problem with their medical technologist being quite tardy in testing the blood of patients for CBC or complete blood count because sometimes the hemoglobin for example reads "high" while it is not in reality because of the much delayed time prior to being tested. Now once it gets tested it will show some bad readings particularly when hemoglobin and RBC are counted for example.

Even my nurses know about that issue with my hospitals Medtech department so I lost trust in them.

So I decided to look for another laboratory service that I can rely on for such purpose because obviously I needed a very accurate numbers with the results because for example if my CBC result is high, then I will be compelled to inject an EPO hormone just to raise the levels of hemoglobin blood and EPO injections are not cheap, they still cost an arm and leg considering that their prices now are lower than one-third now for certain brands coming from China and one-fifth of the price that I also used before. There are certain EPO hormone that even costs almost 3,500 PHPesos when I can still walk and submit papers for my requests of medical assistance from my country's Charity service. I was so angry with that "partner" of that branch, the main branch of the Charity service's supposed partner pharmacy because they could have offered a cheaper alternative but the had given us the most expensive EPO in the market which had made my guarantee latter, the letter that states that I can get as many medicines, EPO in particular with corresponding amount that had given to me by the government charity service.

Now I am blessed by God not to be too dependent about using EPO because my hemoglobin seems to be not crashing any longer but I am taking i.v. iron transfusions every two weeks and that is enough along with the vitamins I am taking so that my body would get the necessary nutrients so that I can maintain a positive hemoglobin levels like the results as shown in the photo above.

I am trying to avoid EPO injections despite their cheaper cost but still expensive if you use them frequently, after all it seems that I do not needed them any longer as well, thanks be to God.
