I've been using my Zenfone 4 with its OEM battery and it saved me from expending some cash money that I am painfully thrifting for some important things for me
I feel complete now with my already working seven years-old ASUS Zenfone 4 and I would like to keep it for as long as there is an available battery that I can have an access to in order to replace it. I already have a cellphone technician that I can get into contact with via Facebook messenger so it is all well and good for me from this point onwards. I had thought that I do not use my Smartphone that often because I am always in front of my computer where I do most of what I do like blogging and such but with regards to using an Android App where some specific task must be done over there, my Smartphone has the last laugh.
I do not know why a few of my Apps doesn't have any desktop counterpart in terms of accessing its services because of course why not? and why it has to be accessed via an App via Android and IOS? That is why I would conclude now that Smartphones has never been so essential to our lives now more than ever particularly nowadays where you can also get tons of prepaid data that you can use which also have no expiry. Yes, some of the Telcos in my country is offering the "no expiry data" services and all you just have to do is to load your SIM card with regular load a few times each year so that your SIM card itself will not expire. That is what I did and now I haven't fully used my "no expiry data" allocation considering that it is about maybe more than two years since I bought it, imagine that.
That is why there is no problem for me to get online to check something out once in a while in the internet without needing a Wi-Fi connection. I do not watch YouTube videos when I am away from the house and do not use my Smartphone for gaming. Too late for gaming now because I had gone old for it and besides my fingers had gone crooked as well with my two thumbs receded back and thus making them short. So I can never use my Smartphone with just only one hand which is why typing characters on it feels like more primitive than using a basic phone because it is just better to type on a basic phone for me for writing a text message than typing it in Smartphone particularly while I am sitting and getting dialyzed plus holding a Smartphone by just one hand is a no-no for me lest I will get the risk of dropping it on the floor. I am holding my Smartphone ever so carefully whenever I use it just to avoid that in happening.
Depending on my Dialysis schedule I would make my post beforehand and copy it to be converted as a text file and after that I would send the file via Bluetooth over my Smartphone so that I can save a ton of hard work composing my blogs by using my smartphone, it will just be impossible to do that considering that my Smartphone only had a considerably lesser capacity compared to the original one that can sustain more than one hour of video coverage in HD while sparing some more days of usage. Anyway, I would open the text file in my Smartphone via the recent files, copy them and paste them in the website and done! So in by the appointed time that I already needed to post my blog, it will just be a few steps away and the job is done, it saved me a lot of time and a lot of mobile data which is why I still have a few GB of data left to use until it is all used up and I guess that it will be a long time before it happens because of using my Smartphone sparingly.
Just today, I tried to download a theme from ZenfoneUI, I failed because it is not downloading what I chose. I figured out later that I just needed to "restart" my ASUS Zenfone and tried it again. Well, it worked and thank goodness that it worked because I was already planning to take a black photo and use it as the background and at the same time suffering from the white background to some sections of the Smartphone's OS. I just want to save some power from the battery because bright backgrounds just blinds me out, pretty hard to the eyes and so in this case I needed to have a black background to enhance my user experience for using this seven year old or would be seven years-old Smartphone by October this year. Maybe the next Smartphone I will use will be the last one, who knows? it might be not, only God can tell.
However I am still longing for a much better resolution or screen display like Amoled and such because my eyes are degraded already for being in front of my laptop for so many years already, enough to make me stay away from watching movies as well so that my eyes would not get so strained. When I first bought this cellphone, I didn't paid attention to the screen resolution because what I am looking for was a Smartphone with large capacity battery. The battery promised a one month stand-by time with lots of screen time and it was a good experience until it lasts. Now I know already how to take care of the battery but I still want a somewhat replaceable battery and I can see that Zenfone 10 falls into that category which again would make me get a hard time of getting a new battery for it by the time that the original one conked-out of me because of its bloated nature although it still works much better compared to this already degraded replacement battery that got installed afew days ago.
But the battery capacity is not the only one that I am looking for my future Smartphone because it is also important for me to have a better sound output in which the new Smartphone should have at least some sound enhancement like Dolby Digital or a high resolution sound output. For that reason I will still be not satisfied until I use a separate or external DAC which further enhances the sound whenever I wanted to listen to even YouTube videos . Those are the main functionality that I wanted and I am still patient about getting because I rarely leave the house if not going for my regular dialysis where I just like to sleep rather than fiddling around with my Smartphone with just one hand.
