The hospital management is now so strict in implementing the rules before patients go inside the dialysis treatment area. They now require us that before we step into the receiving/waiting area we will have to take off our shoes or slip-ons and then put on socks before taking the supplied slip-ons/slippers.
Then the patient must go to the bathroom, wash their hands and then apply some rubbing alcohol with their hands. After that was the body temperature check, if the patient has a cough or fever they will have to be admitted to maybe get some additional check-up, testing, or maybe just observation.
My concern is that the supplied footwear will be by public use and I do not know if those will get disinfected. I remember when the dialysis center got renovated they required us to put on the supplied footwear and sometimes I would get the ones that are sticky and ill-fitting to my feet.
There was also a warning hat if the patients won't obey the rules they will not get treated. So it makes me feel uneasy although I know what they are doing is for the benefit of everyone but the footwear change I think will just cross-contaminate each other's whatever germs they are harboring with their sweaty feet.
I just hope that they will clean those slippers at least every after dialysis day because although my blood is not clean I still am clean with my body even though my body is as ugly now as it can be. I hope that we can break through these difficult times. It is just unfortunate for me that a pandemic of epic proportions happened in the most vulnerable times of my life. May God help us.

Today is my first day of a 3 week forced lockdown. I think getting fresh stuff like milk will be an hassle. Some people are freezing it, but I never tried that before.
