Wearing my best clothes with my shirt which is actually not a long-sleeved shirt but is an oversized Korean polo, me and my father had embarked again to attend the Christmas party for the second time within the time that I became a patient there about 14 years ago. It was set by the administration of the hospital which owns the dialysis clinic beside it. My mother didn't go with us because of her allergic rhinitis which makes her cough. She said that she do not want the nurse to hear her coughing so chose not to go to the party.
My father wanted to go because of the prizes from games and raffles and give-away to patients. I also want to go because I am expecting dialyzer give-away so that I will not have to cash-out near the end of this month when I finally have to pay a high-flux dialyzer because its cost is very expensive.
During the raffle I won an EPO injection which I might use tomorrow. I am also expecting another four injections but it will be coming from the charity service of the government and arranged by the hospital for the patients.
Anyway, the other sponsor to the Dialysis patient's Christmas party didn't came and attended for some reason which is why the give-away today are not that very numerous. I noticed that there are no free dialysis raffles because patients are fully covered with their dialysis needs if they will be treated three times per week because of our improved government health insurance program for dialysis patients and I am still hoping that it will still improve more like an additional dialyzer allocated per month and not the current single dialyzer allocation per month.
The give-away items, gifts, and raffle prize that we brought home are a bag of premium rice, groceries which you can use to cook spaghetti, a pretty lunch box complete with stainless chopsticks, then spoon, and fork while the interior of the lunch box is stainless too. I also won being the "early bird" because me and father arrived so early and the prize was a blanket.
I can't get to get some more photo because there are many people in front of me because of the short length of my torso so I just photographed my received give away gifts, etc. Come near the lunchtime, they allowed people who are sitting near the roasted pork to queue to the food catering services. Most people got their share of the roasted pork but it was the first food to get emptied-out. Next time, if there will be another time, I might place myself near the catering service, and yes, I didn't get my share of that roasted pork and I will not tell you why.
However my father told one of the administrators to give me some packed food which I can get to eat home because she knows that I am really having a hard time eating while sitting down especially being sitting down for about three hours with my back killing me in pain the whole time doesn't make me get the urge to eat. So I basically attended that party not eating at all. That hospital administrator is very kind to me and happens to have some empathy for me maybe because of my physical condition and the fact that her husband died being a dialysis patient is always giving me a special favor like that.
