The fighting around the Al Shifa hospital and the hospital north of it is intensifying. The IDF really is targeting the Hamas center below Al Shifa and in order to do that they must subdue the vicinity around it. The Al Shifa hospital is surrounded also by small hospitals or clinics which I personally assure as its way to protect itself because these specific infrastructures together with schools and children's playgrounds as well as apartment buildings do have tunnel ports inside it.
The main brain of Hamas where its leaders reside and hide is below the Al Shifa hospital but the IDF is not bombing it because of the (hard-headed?, Coerced)?) civilian people who (wants?) to (stay?) along with other people (supporters and sympathizers) of Hamas (Hamas included) and accept their fate. I can't blame the civilians for actually condemning Israel for its now with more than ever relentless attacks on Hamas because of their pain and suffering because of course they are experiencing hell right now.
However, the reaction of the civilians has a double meaning which is their fear of being prosecuted by Hamas if they would blame Hamas for their being a human shields because Hospitals are owned by Hamas as well and they have no choice but to go with the flow. It is like being born in Nazi Germany where almost every citizen just joins the Nazi party because all of the people around their neighborhood, town, and city are Nazis, it is their way of not going against the thread for the reason of self-preservation.
So I bet that after the Palestinian people is freed from the clutches of Hamas, they would thank Israel for eliminating the terror group (or will they?). The thing is that most Palestinians are born in this situation because the group that leads them is hell-bent in wiping Israel from the face of earth. Most of the Palestinian population had been fed with indoctrination of hate and hard way of life which is why Egypt doesn't want to take them nor any other Arab country for the reason that they will never fit in to society except only in their own place in Gaza (maybe).
Now, because of the systematic approach of the IDF for conquering the main are where the leadership of Hamas resides at this moment, it will take less time for them to accomplish it in my own point of view. Right now the IDF is almost already near the doors of the Al Shifa hospital which is actually built for Hamas leaders and their own way of protecting themselves from IDF airstrikes. But I believe that IDF will raid it because of their priority to save the hostages beneath the said hospital, the main Hamas tunnel. After freeing the Hostages and all Hamas leadership and its commanders, etc is eliminated, then I guess that it will be the start for Palestinians to feel much better with their lives without Hamas controlling their lives.
