I envy the modern youth, I mean those that already had access to the Internet at a very young age. My niece already own a smartphone even before it started to talk, the smartphone is her everyday companion, uses it now for online class, play, and all that entertainment, social media and such.
But I am not looking at the youth the same as before because they are now more exposed to bad stuffs, bad videos, sexualization of kids, and yes the Porn. So if you are a wise parent you should have done some kind of barring the websites that your children can access particularly these adult sites.
The I.P. of these sites can be filtered in the router level, it needs some bit of technical know-how and you should at first how to access your router. But not all router can filter the IP's of these sites and if that happens maybe you can use another kind of router that your Internet provider supports or let the device connect through an WiFi extender if also it has an IP filtering feature.
That is only one way that I know that our children can be protected if they use the house WiFi but if they have gadgets and that is for sure that can access the Internet via Data connection straight from a broadband then they can bypass your security.
That is why in today's modern age our children are shaped by society making parenting a very had task to do. Our children can het morally corrupted if not bankrupt at a tap on their smartphones and I guess it is already happening. So now our society is already shifting into a different path, everything is easier to access visually with audio and moving texts right in the palm of our hands and also in a cheaper and faster way.
After a decade or so this world will be much more different that what we see it today because morality will be down because of the kind of culture that is shaping the people in the world. Maybe the Arab religion will be more liberal or maybe there will be more Atheists than religious or some religion will vanish if not dwindled in a significant manner all because the religious belief had been tarnished or influenced already by a more liberal mindset brought about wanting to be freer in what people wants to choose and do.
The Internet is like a knife, you are given the freedom to use it to cut and prepare foods or you can use it to hurt someone and yourself unknowingly or intended and it does depend on your moral upbringing in what you chose and some people will not chose the good one, one unit of society will fall and then change the future society for the worse and the will be the end result, the future will not be bright anymore.
Hoping it will not be.
