It is known to drug dealers and drug Lords the high stakes that they will deal once they are caught now.

If anyone of you wondered about lots of drug pushers and dealers killed during the outgoing president Duterte's campaign about eradicating these scum of society was real or not I will confirm that it was real. In my village at least there is one prominent drug pusher that was killed.

That person is known to deal with drugs, selling it to the community, to the people he knows or knows him. One day two people, presumably police agents went to hunt him down, they managed to put bullets in his body, he ran home and was chased in his own home, he begged for his life but he was killed anyway with additional bullets from the "cops". After killing him they went away on unmarked motorcycle.

Does the people liked that kind of system/process? Oh yes they do, that is why president Duterte won the election with a wide margin against the opposition six years ago. His main campaign slogan was to kill drug dealers which are the cause of criminality and broken families here in my country, broken lives of young generation which impacts society and thus affecting the progress for the growth because the unit of society, the families are affected by drugs.

President Duterte had promised to eradicate the drug problem in six months but frankly he failed to do so. Sometimes the police would confiscate Meth in tons! The smuggling of it in the country continued unimpeded all because they are backed by high officials in the Police and military ranks plus the fact that international cartel really uses my country as transitory point to distribute Meth in this part of Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile the outgoing president promised to basically put down or kill a few drug lords before his term ends, we will have to see about that as the police also supports it. The war on drugs continues, if some drug dealer is caught and tried to put a fight, the police was instructed to liquidate and or eliminate the threat for the sake of their own lives. Only the ones that are not killed when apprehended was the ones that didn't rest arrest and will see their day in court.

The incoming president Bong-bong Marcos also said that he will continue the program of president Duterte which is why I think he won in a landslide victory. It is because the people are fed-up with drug dealers and drug Lords and these current and incoming presidency are the ones that had done something and will continue to do something about it.

All the while the criminality went down considerably because of the war on drugs. many individuals are now apprehensive in getting involved in it. Sadly when a drug dealer/lord dies another one will just replace them but the police are not letting up, they are in high spirits always to help the country what they want and that is to erase these kinds of sub-human being in the face of the earth for good.

Mr. Duterte had made it sure that the police soldiers are given a better salary and welfare to cut down corruption from their ranks.

I didn't know that the war on drugs was so serious in the Philippines @cryptopie. Is the problem only with meth or
are there other drugs as well?

Sometimes Meth is confiscated in Tons! Most of the time it goes through undetected in tons as well.

It is because some Police and Military generals are involved which is why even though the past president Duterte had vowed to eliminate illegal drugs, he can't really accomplish it as he said on one of his speeches because it will mean that he will be fighting his own government.

At least we have less criminality now and it is relatively more peaceful unlike before. Most people are thinking twice or more before involving themselves into illegal drugs.
