What do you think is the number one Social Media marketing mistake I see being made?
I recently learned this from Tanya Aliza.
The number one Social Media marketing mistake I see being made is marketers keeping ALL of their marketing/Business on just Social Media.
They are posting amazing content on Facebook, doing FB lives, posting on instagram, having ads running on social media..
But here is the reality of why this can/will wreck your business if you do not continue to grow as a marketer.
I remember having no idea that at any given point your entire social media accounts can be deleted.
So what if you have a following of 15k-20k on Facebook/twitter/IG..?
If ONE of those “fans” ever was to become a “hater” and report your account..
Without hesitation or warning Facebook would/can delete your account with no way to recover it.
Bye bye 15k followers..
How hard did you work to build this following?
Let me ask you.. are you going to know where to find those people all over again?
Do they even know how to find you if such a thing were to happen?
This is applicable to ALL social media accounts my friends..
So the most important thing that I can try and get across for you to understand today..
Is to see that your social media accounts (IG, FB, twitter, linked in) are the SPOKES to your car tire.
If you have trouble understanding exactly what I mean by this, make sure to check out the video below.
So imagine a car tire, You’ve got the “hub” in the center and then you have the spokes on the outside.
Correct?
Your social media accounts are the spokes to the tire.
What you need to realize is that you should use your social media marketing to drive your traffic to your HUB.
Something that you can own and that can never be taken from you..
Like this blog you are on right now! It is MINE!
If you are using Facebook, you can transfer people from your personal page, to a fan page and from fan page to your blog.
You can also just drive traffic from your personal page’s directly to your blog/website (center hub).
Exactly how I just got you to get here.
Do you understand what I’m saying? Hopefully this is starting to click.
I drew a diagram in the video below!
Here are some perks to owning your own hub.
-You can set it up to look EXACTLY how you want.
-You can include your story
-You can include your products you promote
-You can have a contact/work with me tab..
If you’re driving your traffic to your hub, they can learn everything about you and even apply to work with you without you even having to be there.
Crazy right?!
How many times have you been asked your story? LOL
What if it were saved forever for people to be able to read while you sleep?
This is something you will own entirely and it can never be deleted or touched like your social media accounts so I thought you all would receive some value from this topic today.
If you do not implement this into your life it’s totally your choice..
I at least wanted to let you know that you could be losing/leaving millions of dollars on the table by making this major mistake.
People don't understand how VALUABLE the information you just gave them is! I'm s social media consultant and I'm always telling people that the ultimate goal is to get CONTACT information from your followers. E-mail is STILL your friend and very effective. Phone numbers are even more important. Yes, it's old fashioned but getting phone numbers and addresses can help immeasurably stay in contact with your hard-won followers and potential clients. Bravo for this piece.
