Almost 40 million dollars cost Netflix to remove Spacey from all its projects.
After hearing the allegations of sexual harassment by the protagonist of one of Netflix's most popular series, House of Cards, the platform via streaming had to take certain measures in the matter, so he decided to end the stubborn Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) inside the "White House". But not only in House of Cards Kevin Spacey was playing a character, at the same time he worked with Netflix in the development of a film about the journalist and writer Gore Vidal, of which he was the protagonist. However, the famous platform via streaming decided to end all relationship with the actor, accused by eight people for sexual harassment.
Due to the departure of Kevin from the sixth season of House of Cards and the film about Gore Vidal, Netflix had a loss of almost 40 million dollars by not issuing the work already done, ready to get on the platform and be released.
Kevin Spacey's career was not only truncated on Netflix, but director Ridley Scott eliminated him from All the Money in the World and replaced all the scenes where he appeared, replacing him with the legendary actor Christopher Plummer.
These losses by Netflix were disclosed in its results report.
