Here is our log cabin for the next few days.

The cabin is really isolated and quite high up in the mountains (as you may have seen from yesterdays dTube video). There's nothing to disturb you from the quiet of nature, and the stunning views.

There are only a few other log cabins in the area, and most of them are actually holiday homes. We are incredibly lucky to have this beautiful place to ourselves.

Even when you are right in the middle of the forest you can still see volcano popping out from behind the trees. Today there was not a single cloud in the sky.

Having a moment with this view of Villarrica is always special and grounding. Waking up in the morning its the first thing we see, and as the sun goes down it leaves a great impression on you until you wake up and see it all over again.

After a little walk through the forest we went back to the cabin and got the fire on to warm the place up.

As soon as the sun goes it gets really cold here - you can go from t shirt and shorts to needing a roaring fire to keep warm. You can see the tank on top of the fire which is being heated by the flames and will used to make tea, or shower. This log cabin is totally eco friendly.

We enjoyed a vegan meal which is something I've been trying to change to recently.

Being vegan in Chile is suprisingly easy to do in if you put your mind to it (even if the country is famously known for its meat consumption!)
