Floating down the river with thousands of fish in Bonito

One day two in Bonito we went snorkelling in the crystal clear rivers.

Bonito is full of waterways that run through the jungle, snorkelling in these rivers is like being in a huge outdoor aqaurium. We got into our wetsuits and added a little buoyancy to ensure that we could float along. I was probably in the river for about an hour but it seemed to pass way faster than that.

For a moment I picked up my head just to take a break... right in front of me was this monkey. I remember thinking how insane this moment was, and that wherever I looked was wildlife right there before my eyes.

This really is what Bonito is all about. I loved these blackfish that were all lined up swimming against the current whilst feeding.

I know that there's a lot less writing in these posts about Bonito compared to my last adventures in The Pantanal and it's mainly because the pictures speak for themselves.
