A message in a bottle. I have always thought how that would be to put a message in a bottle and throw it out to sea. But then what would one write in such a message that may or may not be read?
I guess one might put one's name and country or some kind of vague address or maybe even put one's proper address if one wants the stranger who discovered such a message that was put in a bottle to write back, but what is such a message was discovered after the writer of such a message has long passed died? I guess one would also date the message as maybe the message might be found years, or decades or even centuries later.
Then one must think, well, what would one leave in such a message as there is a possibility that the message will be read.
What would I put in the message in a bottle? Let me think. What message could last the sands of time? Maybe one might lead such a reader to seek out a book that you may lead them to. Let's see what I might write in a message that may or may not be read.
I say, there is a chance the message can be read, but at the other spectrum is that it might not be read, as the bottle might get destroyed, maybe it found its way to a rocky shore, the bottle might have been thrown into the rocks and the glass bottle breaks the message written on paper get salt water on it and the paper is torn apart and is eaten of small fish.
But let's say it has a fifty fifty chance of being read. So let me think what I will write:
Hello, my name is David. I live in the state of California and as I write it is 8.5.2022. So not knowing at what time you read this message, I just want to let you know that at this moment that I write, it is summer time and is hot in the day and cool in the night. I am one that likes to read or listen to the Bible. I do find that there is real knowledge in the book called, the Bible, yet I still believe that the Bible should have more books, as I know there is an Ethiopian Bible that includes the book of Enoch. I to believe that the book of Enoch should have been in the Bible that I like to read. I favor the King James Version.
Why mention Enoch, well because Jesus referenced Enoch when the Sadducees asked Jesus of the seven brothers each marrying a certain woman and when one brother died, another married her until all the brothers died and last the woman died also. The Sadducees wanted to know whose wife she would be at the resurrection since all the brothers had her as a wife at different times. As it is written, Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:29-30. For it is mentioned in the book of Enoch that the angels were not to marry.
Hopefully you the reader of this message in this bottle would have access to the Bible and the book of Enoch. Please do check it out if that is possible.
In conclusion let me leave you with this that is written in the book of Ecclesiastes as it is written, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this the whole of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
Take care dear reader of this message and I do hope you look up that which I have given you.
David
