Yes, I was sleeping and I hear a text on my phone. My neighbor lost his car keys and asks me to take is kids to school. Well, my neighbor always gives me odd jobs.
Before I would lose my keys too, but after awhile I learned to keep two pairs of keys on me. That way if I lose one set, I can still get things done with the other set.
I keep the main set of keys in my right front pocket and the secondary keys in my left front pocket. Since I have been doing that for some years now, I just don't have problems like that anymore.
Well anyway, I get ready. I find I have to take 3 of his kids to their school. I find out from the kids that the school does kindergarten to 8th grade. I kind of know where the school is cause it is close to the store I always go to called, Winco.
Well, since there were more than one kid I used my 93 Honda Accord. I always use that car when I have more than one passenger. It is a two door car, so I ask, who is going to sit in the back. The two youngest ones went into the back.
The eldest one sat in the front. Ever try to talk to young kids? They don't really say much. It kind of reminded me when I was young like that and shy. I didn't say, much in my younger years also.
Well, I get to the school and the kids tell me where to drop them off. They all said, thank you and wished me a good day. Then I had to make it out of that parking lot.
You know trying to get out of that parking/drop off area reminded me of trying to get out of an arena at the end of a show. Well, it was stop and go just to get out of there.
Once I got on the street, it was still stop and go. That is when I thought, maybe this can be a blog. So I took the picture for this blog.
I am thinking man, so this is what parents have to deal with every school day. If I were a parent maybe I would park the car close to the school, but not go into the school.
I was thinking I could park the car close to the school, but not at the school and to make sure nothing happened to the kids I would walk them to the school, then walk back to my car. Well, that was what I was thinking as I was going through all that stop and go traffic.
If I ever have to bring the kids back to school again, I will probably do it the same way I did it this day and do the stop and go traffic thing just like before.
So later on in the day I found out that my neighbor finally found his keys.
So I guess I won't have to take his kids to school tomorrow.
That is fine with me.
