Though we had some rain today, there was enough heat in the last month to make the little leaves and fruit come out. It was the leaves of the fig tree that Adam and Eve used to cover up after they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

As it is written, And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:7.

That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45. That last Adam is Jesus.

I remember Jesus saying, as it is written, I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24. That is why we have to believe Jesus, that he is who he says, he is. The other option is to die in your sins.

You see we will all be judged of what we did in our bodies while here on earth, as it is written, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things in body, according to that he hath done, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10.

That is why we want to repent, accept Jesus and do the will of the Father. That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:50. We want to do the will of the Father as we will be in the family of Jesus. The will of the Father is written in the scriptures.

That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-3.

So my fig tree will bring forth in its season and God willing, I will partake of its fruit.

Let's end with a scripture, with Jesus speaking, I am the vine, ye the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5.

Yes, they come around, but it is because of them that the figs tastes so good.
