Raking Leaves

Today I was raking leaves. Instead of raking the leaves to the street as I normally have done for years, I raked them in a pile on the lawn.

You see am going to do something else with these leaves. I'm going to put them in piles then transport them by way of my garbage can to my fig tree.

You may be asking what do you want to do that for? Well, you see I'm going to use the leaves as an insulator to hold moister in the ground under my fig tree.

When these leaves break down they become a fertilizer for the tree also. Cause what would the county do with these leaves?

Well, they will make compost out of it and sell them back to the people. This way their is no middle man and as the leaves break down the compost is right there.

Tree leaves are very nutrient rich and when broken down will feed my fig tree.

My neighbor was raking leaves also. He put them on the side of the street. Then he complained that some drivers always drives so fast near the raked leaves and cause them to spread.

I told him that is how those drivers are. When I was putting the leaves on the street people would just keep running over them like a game.

Well bringing those raked leaves to the fig tree solves that problem too.
