What's your Dream?

What's Your Dream? Its a line we have all heard if you have seen the huge Julia Roberts hit Pretty Woman! Well after quitting my job and getting rid of everything I own minus a few personal and sentimental items that are in storage at my fathers home, I headed out to California to find "myself" and realize my dream!

Why California?

Well inst that where dreams come true?

After fitting my life into two suitcases and a backpack I threw my stuff in the care and took the two day trip from Wichita Falls, Texas to sunny Los Angeles California. I relished in the sun, the sand, and the money I had saved went very quickly. I found myself broke and while LA is rich in quick things to do to make money, I don't want to tie myself down to another full time all day job, I want to be free to explore and follow my dreams!

So what are my dreams? I want to help others, when you come out to LA you see that the homeless population is crazy huge and that there are literally tents on the side of the highway in the brush, young and old alike, people that have come to California for whatever reason, or maybe they were born here and just fell on hard times, either way the homeless population here in LA has surged 75% in the last 5 years from around 32,000 to well over 57,000. People sleeping in their cars, tents, or in pop up cardboard homes in alleys, street corners, and just about anywhere you look.

Heartbreakingly as I drover down Wilshire blvd everywhere I look you can spot some kind of homeless on the sidewalks, one teenage girl, parents nowhere in site laying on the sidewalk just trying to rest a bit. This makes another problem, human trafficking, LA has a very significant problem with trafficking, girls like this homeless girl are at risk.

I want to dedicate myself to helping people less fortunate than I, while that may not be many at this point I still feel very blessed and know that my Lord will see me through, these people have nothing at all and usually don't even have food to eat, I want to be the someone that makes a difference to them. I know I by myself cant save the world, but I know that I can make a difference to someone and maybe to a lot of someone's. It would be great if people would get behind this project and upvote me, and resteem me so I could get money coming into by food and items to make care boxes for these people to begin somewhere. The smallest things mean the world to these people. Many don't choose to be here it was just a run of bad luck and most are trying to get out of their bad situation while the ones that are not are usually those who have a mental illness and would if they were in their right mind and many of them Veterans that suffer from PTSD.
