Superheroes, Sheroes, Utility Belts and the Lasso of Truth

I have no idea why the picture I took of the Wonder Woman action hero figurine is the one I chose to upload today.. but when it loaded and the image zoomed in on her utility belt and golden rope, it of course made perfect sense!

Well, it doesn't exactly make sense why the image website isn't uploading the picture properly .. whats up with that imgsafe?

However, since I took it upon myself to understand that the meaning behind incidents, coincidence, synchronicity, serendipity and signs... is all MINE to ascribe, I choose to see the hand of my guiding spirit.. the Force, if you will.. in such things.

And this one is RICH in meaning, since I've been drafting stories about tools, tool boxes, utility belts, utility rooms etc. for .. hmm.

My life took a dramatic change back in 2011. It was a near-death experience and spiritual awakening like nothing that could fit into any frame of reference known to me at that time. I created a new persona to honor that I was becoming a different person, that my corporate persona was going to slowly shed like the skin of a snake. For a while I had to be two different people (again) while this new lifeform evolved and grew from such fragile beginnings.

The blog I started to capture and share what came through then in visions, words, connections and experiences was a nod to the last time I experienced a metamorphosis, that time it was Catwoman and Eris.

The character (caricature?) into which I was borne by this tide of awareness stepped out into the world seemingly larger than life, with epic dreams, boots and a cape, and a utility belt that started with just the most primitive of tools that I needed to have with me always.. a notebook, pen, cellphone, and reading glasses ;)

Like tools in a tool box, I can dig through to find just what's needed for my next journey, then put it in my tool belt.

So the toolbelt thing of course made perfect sense.

But what about the rope?? So of course.... I googled. What marvelous meaning shall I ascribe to it's appearance.. hmmm.

The first thing I thought of was the rope scene in Boondock Saints.

Nope. That's not it. Because, it isn't even rope, once you put a knot in it -- it's a Lasso.

The Lasso of Truth.

Truth, Synchronicity, and ... a new movie??

Oh my.

I can feel a wormhole opening up... Action Heroes, being recently referenced as a Shero, standing up at Standing Rock as a protector of water, demanding of truth, and now this adventure in the jungles of Costa Rica that has swallowed me into the vortices of energies ever interconnected to all that is behind and before me.

Since leaving Standing Rock in February, I do my best to stay in a prayer space even though I have left the sacred land that taught me so much of how to keep the faith always. It helps to imagine myself as a Super Hero, ever alert and ready to spring into Action whenever a call is heard. Usually the call is in the form of a problem, so being someone who is looking for problems that need fixing presents many opportunities to bring peace, to show love, and to be in service to our planet and people.

This mission of mine spans time and space.. extending backwards to writings from years past, like this one below - and forward into creating new SPACEs - Sacred Permaculture Action Camp Exchanges - in the future.

I realize that outwardly, I project myself as a Superhero. I am the heroine of my story, and I am living it every day, and telling it as best I can the way I see, feel, hear, touch, and smell it. My story is our story, because each interaction with another human being is an opportunity to learn from their experiences, and to pass on what I've got to share as well.

Wearing the utility belt, carrying my tools and using 'em too.. I show up, with everything I have, and do the very best I can knowing what I know at the time. Willing to learn, to receive the feedback and the reflections, and the projections too, because one thing I know is I am capable of integrating what's mine and letting go of what's not.

Truth is though, I'm a human. I was born and raised, schooled and polished, I then raised a perfectly imperfect family and accomplished great things in my professional career.

I'm on the other side of that now looking at the next half of my life, right?

And I am clear as a crystal bowl about my purpose. I am a project manager, an organizer and an activist putting everything I've ever done before on the line here and now,y for a future my grandson will love to live in and share harmoniously with all beings. I've got a job to do, and it's a really awesome gig.

I'm building a village.. With a village, for the village, and for those who will inhabit the village long after this time of design and construction. A village that has a center, and guilds for the many passions and responsibilities of the humans that live, work, and play in it to weave through together.

I've said this metaphorically for a while, based on the evidence that humans NEED their villages, we aren't designed to do this life alone.. We all have strengths and weaknesses, karmic debts and infinite gratitude.
